Rider Policy (Delivery Partners)
DVV Global Pvt. Ltd. – MrHomeDelivery
Applicable To: All registered delivery partners (“Riders”) associated with the MrHomeDelivery Platform.
1. Introduction
This Rider Policy governs the rights, responsibilities, conduct standards, and operational requirements applicable to all individuals engaged as delivery partners (“Riders”) with MrHomeDelivery, operated by DVV Global Pvt. Ltd. (“Company”).
By registering as a Rider and accessing the Platform, you acknowledge and agree to comply with this Policy, the Terms of Use, and all applicable laws and regulations.
This Policy forms a legally binding agreement between the Rider and the Company. Riders must read this Policy carefully before commencing delivery services.
2. Legal Status of Riders
Riders operate strictly as independent contractors.
Riders are not employees, agents, representatives, or partners of DVV Global Pvt. Ltd.
No employer–employee relationship exists between the Company and the Rider.
The Company does not provide any form of:
Salary, wages, PF, ESI, gratuity, bonus, or statutory employment benefits;
Vehicle maintenance;
Accident or medical insurance;
Fuel expenses or reimbursements.
The Rider alone is responsible for all expenses incurred during the course of deliveries.
3. Registration and Eligibility Requirements
To operate as a Rider for MrHomeDelivery, the following criteria must be met:
Minimum age: 18 years.
Valid documents, including:
Driving Licence (DL),
Vehicle Registration Certificate (RC),
Valid vehicle insurance (third-party or comprehensive),
Government-issued identity proof.
The Rider must possess a smartphone capable of running the MrHomeDelivery application.
All documents must be genuine, current, and verifiable. Submission of false or forged documents will lead to permanent deactivation and legal action.
4. Rider Duties, Conduct, and Professional Behaviour
Riders must adhere to the highest standards of professionalism and lawful conduct.
4.1 General Behaviour
Riders must communicate respectfully with customers, merchants, other riders, and Company representatives.
Abusive language, harassment, threats, or any form of misconduct is strictly prohibited.
Riders must maintain a clean, presentable appearance while performing deliveries.
4.2 Delivery Responsibilities
Riders must ensure timely pickup and delivery of orders.
Deliveries must be completed exactly as instructed through the Platform.
Riders must not:
Consume, open, or tamper with delivered goods,
Exchange order items,
Allow unauthorized persons to accompany them during deliveries.
Any attempt to manipulate orders, payments, or app-based tasks (e.g., fake deliveries, route manipulation) constitutes fraud.
4.3 Compliance With Law
Riders must comply with all applicable traffic laws, motor vehicle regulations, and municipal rules.
Riding without a helmet, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or reckless driving will result in immediate termination.
Riders are responsible for payment of all penalties, challans, and fines imposed by law enforcement due to their actions.
5. Equipment and Vehicle Requirements
Riders are responsible for the acquisition, maintenance, and safety of their own vehicles.
Vehicles must be:
Fully operational,
Safe for road use,
Equipped with functioning brakes, mirrors, lights, indicators, and horns.
Riders must regularly maintain their vehicles at their own expense.
Riders must ensure that their smartphone remains adequately charged and connected to mobile data.
6. Payments, Incentives, and Deductions
6.1 Earnings
Riders are paid on a per-delivery basis. The Company may modify the payment structure at its sole discretion.
Incentives may be offered based on performance metrics such as:
Number of deliveries completed,
Timely completion,
Customer ratings,
Peak hours or special campaigns.
6.2 Deductions
Deductions may be applied in the following situations:
Verified customer complaints.
Delayed deliveries without valid reason.
Wrong deliveries or delivery failure due to rider negligence.
Violation of company policies or misconduct.
Penalties for fraudulent activities on the Platform.
6.3 Taxes and Compliance
All payments are subject to applicable taxes under Indian law.
Riders are individually responsible for filing their income tax returns.
The Company may deduct TDS or any legally required withholding.
7. Safety Standards and Obligations
Riders must wear a helmet at all times while riding.
Riders must follow all road safety measures and speed limits.
Riders must not operate a vehicle under fatigue, illness, medication that impairs driving ability, or intoxication.
Riders must immediately report any accidents or incidents occurring during delivery operations.
The Company promotes a safety-first approach and expects Riders to prioritize their personal safety at all times.
8. Liability and Risk Acknowledgment
Riders acknowledge that delivery services inherently involve risks, including but not limited to:
Road accidents,
Personal injury,
Property damage,
Vehicle malfunction,
Theft or loss of goods.
The Company is not liable for:
Any injury, accident, or death,
Loss or damage to vehicle or personal property,
Medical expenses or hospitalization,
Insurance claims or disputes.
Riders are solely responsible for ensuring appropriate insurance coverage (personal accident insurance, medical insurance, vehicle insurance).
Riders agree to indemnify and hold harmless DVV Global Pvt. Ltd. from:
Claims, losses, damages, penalties, legal fees, or liabilities arising due to Rider negligence, misconduct, or breach of this Policy.
9. Confidentiality
Riders may gain access to customer contact details, addresses, and order information.
Riders must treat all such data as confidential and use it only for completing assigned deliveries.
Sharing or misuse of customer data is strictly prohibited and may result in:
Immediate suspension,
Legal action under the IT Act, 2000 and DPDP Act, 2023.
10. Platform Usage and Technology Requirements
Riders must use the Platform exclusively for lawful purposes and in accordance with Company instructions.
Riders must not:
Manipulate GPS,
Tamper with the application,
Use unauthorized software or hacks,
Attempt to access restricted areas of the Platform.
Violations may lead to termination and legal action.
11. Termination and Suspension
The Company reserves the right to suspend or permanently deactivate a Rider’s access to the Platform under the following circumstances:
Repeated customer complaints.
Fraudulent or illegal activities.
Misconduct or violation of this Policy.
Failure to comply with legal or safety requirements.
Abuse of Platform features or misuse of customer data.
Poor performance or operational issues.
Termination may occur with or without notice, depending on the severity of the violation.
12. Amendments and Updates
DVV Global Pvt. Ltd. may modify, update, or replace this Rider Policy at any time.
All changes will be communicated through the Platform or email.
Continued use of the Platform after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This Rider Policy is governed by the laws of India.
Any dispute arising under or in relation to this Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Hyderabad, Telangana.
